We had our radiator replaced and our steering pump replaced. This was over $1,000. However, the car is not leaking fluids anymore, so that is good. The reason why I only gave 3 stars is because when we picked up our car last Tuesday (or Wednesday?) we were told we would get a phone call the next day from the lady that was there when we dropped off the car and the one that was helping us. My husband had further questions about possible oil leaks. We never did. We were also told she could talk to the mechanic that worked on our and let us know if it is in poor, fair, or good condition. It is a 15-year-old car so we know it's going to have problems. (Even though we've always had it serviced with oil changes and fluids replaced regularly.) Just since July, however, we have paid $4,900 just to Lee's Auto for repairs. We could barely sell the car for that much at this point. So we are nervous that this will be the new normal for this car. I understand that there's no way to tell us how long a car will last. But surely, a good mechanic could tell us if it is poor, fair, or decent condition?
